DECLASSIFY redacted 28-page section of 9/11 Report Already

WTF are we waiting for?  Are there even two sides to this?  I don't see any possible drawbacks to declassifying the 28-page section of the 9/11 Commission Report titled “Finding, Discussions and Narrative Regarding Certain Sensitive National Security Matters.”

I don't necessarily believe — or disbelieve — any of the conspiracy theories about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  But if the 9/11 Truthers are just a bunch of tinfoil hat wackos, then prove it by declassifying this information.  There's been constant speculation about Saudi Arabia's role — if any — in the 9/11 attacks.  Let's find out.

Former Florida Senator Bob Graham, one of the authors of the 9/11 Commission Report, is in favor of releasing this information.  He said it's “highly improbable” that the 9/11 hijackers acted without funding from a sovereign government, and that the redaction of the section of the 9/11 report that addresses this issue “protects the government most responsible for that network of support...This may seem stale to some, but it's as current as the headlines we see today.”

The Saudi government also wants this information declassified.  A Saudi prince said:

“The idea that the Saudi government funded, organized or even knew about September 11th is malicious and blatantly false.  Saudi Arabia has nothing to hide. We can deal with questions in public, but we cannot respond to blank pages.”

Release this information already.  Yes, we CAN handle the truth.

Yes, WE can handle it. Perhaps the people who cannot handle it are the ones who knew where the funding came from but chose to ignore it.

I have grown to hate the word "redacted". It immediately tells me that any position the government takes based on investigations where results and/conclusions are "redacted", means they are hiding something.

I saw a news story many years ago about the close relationship between Prince Bandar and the Bush family, his nickname is "Bandar Bush"

I think the Republicans are trying to Negotiate the release of the Report for the Head of Hilary Clinton for Benghazi.

Jerry: You're right; I think that's exactly who won't be able to handle the release of this information.

MRM: Agreed. Redacted = "Trust me. MWAAAHAAHAAHAA"

Erik: I wouldn't doubt that's the Republicans' motive. But I still think this information needs to be released. It should have been released 14 years ago, but better late than never.
