Fourth Grade Science Quiz
This fourth grade science quiz is from a Christian school in South Carolina.
This quiz was submitted to Daily Kos by the father of a student who had to take the quiz. He didn't identify the school; he's planning to transfer his daughter to another school at the end of the year.
This story gets a “Probably True” rating from Snopes.

I dunno. Seems the answers were right on target. Got to fill their head early if one expects blind faith later on. That young lady is one smart little Bible Thumper. Maybe a prodigy?
I do like the question about "If someone tells you dinosaurs are millions of years old, the correct answer was "were you there?""

Erik: Probably. There are laws on the books to prevent private and religious schools from getting taxpayer funding, but rightwing legislators always manage to find a loophole somewhere.

MRM: I loved that "were you there?" response. God created the Earth in 1948. I wasn't around before that, so the world didn't exist yet.

Even in California the Catholic Schools always got some Education Funds mostly through Semantics, it wasn't out of the taxpayer funds but it was from the State.
A locality could fund a school bond and include the private schools should they choose.
In California we rejected the school voucher program because a parent could use the money to a private (religious) school if he wished. I'm sure other states with vouchers have the same program.

Jerry: I guess half is better than nothing :)
Erik: I don't remember any details, but I've seen lots of stories about legislators and local bureaucrats funneling tax money into religious and charter schools. It's probably less likely in California and other blue states.
