Ted Cruz: High Ranking Member of Dominionist Church

If you’re not familiar with Dominionism, check out the facts here.

And if that’s not scary enough, Ted Cruz is very highly placed within the Dominionist movement.  Please read and bookmark this article.  You NEED to know about this and tell everyone you know.  (Hat Tip to Snave, who sent me this link.)

Liberals, moderate Republicans and Independents already hate Ted Cruz.  But Cruz has captivated millions of conservatives with his constant soundbites about “limited government” and what “the American people” want.  For the millions of Libertarians and non-Evangelicals who actually believe in “Individualism” and “limited government” — Ted Cruz is the ENEMY.

Ted Cruz’ father, Rafael Cruz, is a high-ranking mucky muck in the Dominionist Church.  During a sermon last year, Rafael Cruz announced that his son Ted had been anointed as one of the “Kings” who would take part in the Dominionist agenda known as the “Seven Mountains.”  The “Seven Mountains” refers to the Dominionists’ plan to “‘bring the spoils of war to the priests,’ thus helping to bring about a prophesied ‘great transfer of wealth’  from the ‘wicked’ to righteous gentile believers.”  (From the linked article.)

This may sound like a fairy tale, but there are some incredibly wealthy and powerful people behind this movement.  No wonder Ted Cruz is so adamant about not allowing his anonymous political donors to be revealed.

The mainstream “media” probably won’t bother telling us about Ted Cruz’ involvement with the Dominionist movement.  But if this information gets reported on enough blogs and alternative news sites, hopefully these facts will get out.

These guys sound a lot like the family:

Oh Boy another in a line of post reformation church who believe that it is because God made it that way. It was the big justification for maintaining Slavery, and now since there are so many Rich and Powerful people, well God made them that way and it is god. For Europeans, God made Europeans (Read White People) Dominant so it is good. Go further on the US and you get the idea. The Mormons have a version of it making America the Promised Land. Dutch reform Church did the same for South Africa.

It's also anti environmental since God gave us this Earth to use, we can cover it in oil, fish it dry, and blast every Rhino we see- God will take care of it.

All of a sudden Scientology makes better sense YIKE!

The far right has not changed. They are just "out" - thanks Lindsey Graham's BF! Dominionions (?) - (they are cheese and onion pizzas from Dominos) aren't Christians. They are people hating, money worshiping teabaggers (rebranded republicans who were embarrassed by the tax and spend/politically incompetent/war mismanaging Bush, Bush, Dole, McCain etc.) who had rich parents, cheated in college, and got lucky. The "ME" generation comes of age! Even though there were a lot of them Cruz's age, not many of the rich ones graduated from college. The blacks took their slots! Zing! Seriously, the few that didn't OD and did indeed graduate from college from 78 to 88, few got lucky. I'm sorry, but Ralph Reed and Ted Cruz in a hot tub, does not worry me too much. As long as the santorum doesn't flow from the hot tub into Puget Sound, they can do what they want. Their time has passed. That said, they need the republican nom. for this to play out properly. Another "Romney" (Ann!?) should do it. Or, if Christie loses, that will be DEVESTATING to the twelve moderate republicans that will vote for him.

I'm finding it interesting, how in light of recent articles about this subject there are some responding to this news by using the "Christian persecution" card.

Hey, nobody is persecuting Ted Cruz for being a Christian. If he is to be persecuted it's because he a damned lunatic. His dad is a lunatic religious extremist, and Ted grew up in that household.

Seriously, who in their right mind would want someone who says and believes the things the Cruz's believe finding prominence in our government, let alone in control of our military or with a finger anywhere near the red button?

There's the rub, though. The right wing has done such a great job of keeping people whipped up with fear and anger for such a while now that all that fear and anger has become hard for most of them to articulate. Millions of right wing voters have been softened to where they are ripe enough that now it's time for someone to come riding to their rescue... a "clarifier" who can help them articulate all their confusion and who can be their savior.

This is a very tricky time for America. People can scoff at Dominionists all they like, and say "It can't happen here". Well... it has happened in enough other places around the world throughout history that our country damned well better wake up long enough to start paying attention to this.

Ted Cruz is a very, very bad man.

Jess: I remember reading about Sarah Palin being involved with them. I think that was when I first heard the term Dominionist.

Erik: There are definitely a lot of similarities between the Dominionist Church and The Family. There seems to be no end to the number of these Biblehump wackjob groups.

Demeur: I'm not too sure about this. Ted Cruz would probably get trounced in a national election. But if he didn't...[gasp]

Anonymous: Good description of "Dominionions." Ralph Reed, Ted Cruz and the flowing santorum in a hot tub -- I'm gonna have to try very hard to erase that image :)

Jerry: You're right, who'da thunk a wacko Biblehump like Ted Cruz would be a member of a wacko Biblehump organization?

Snave: Ah yes, the War on Jesus, and just in time for the Left's annual War on Christmas. These rightwing fanatics talk about "limited government," but what they really want is a firm Father Figure to lead them and discipline them when they've been Bad. To them, it doesn't matter whether their strict discipline comes from God or from a power-crazed demagogue like Ted Cruz.
