Bryan Fischer Tells Romney to Bend Over, Then Yells at Him for Bending Over

Bryan Fischer, Grand Wizard of the American Family Association, was the ringleader of the Biblehumpers’ slander campaign against Ric Grennell, Mitt Romney’s foreign policy advisor.  Ric Grinnell — who is openly gay — resigned from his position after being dragged through the mud by the Salem Witch Hunters.

Romney did his Milquetoast best to pander simultaneously to moderate Republicans and Biblewipes.  He “reluctantly” accepted Ric Grennell’s resignation.

And now that Bryan Fischer has succeeded in getting Romney to jump through hoops, he’s condemning him for jumping through those hoops and being such a wuss.  Fischer said:

“If Mitt Romney can be pushed around, intimidated, coerced, co-opted by a conservative radio talk show host in Middle America, then how is he going to stand up to the Chinese? How is he going to stand up to Putin? How is he going to stand up to North Korea if he can be pushed around by a yokel like me? I don’t think Romney is realizing the doubts that this begins to raise about his leadership.”

Something to think about.

Soooooooooooooo

Was this just a test to see if Romney had any Backbone? Think he is was thinking the right would let the Grennell thing pass over if he stayed?

Besides if right wing god Limbaugh decided to get involved it would have been curtains for Romney.

I have a Solution: GOP quit hating gays, minorities, women, and non Christians and you wont have this problem.

I beg to differ. I have ALWAYS had serious doubts about Willard, well before Fischer pulled his Jesusistan stunts.

I don't believe Romney knew the guy was gay. Either that or, he's as big an idiot as he appears.

The GOP wouldn't have that problem, but it would have a much bigger one: loss of the religious right/Bible Belt and just-plain-bigoted component of its political base. If those people stay home in November, Romney had better have some poor, unsuspecting company lined up to "turn around," because his chance of winning the White House will have gone the way of Newt Gingrich's second term.

Fischer, lowlife that he is, raises a valid point. Say Romney becomes president. Next thing he will want at any cost is to get re-elected. So, if a bunch of Chinese corporations, or China's government, tells him how it had better be, or else they will funnel money to a billion-dollar PAC whose mission is to keep him from getting re-elected — entirely possible thanks to Citizens United — what do you suppose Mitt "Kama Sutra" Romney would do?

Romney has no backbone he needs to
"argue with people and get in their faces." and learn "who's neck he should keep his boot on" and "know who's ass to kick"
And if all that fails he can always "bring a gun to the fight"
Yeah that Romney what a classless ,spineless, whoosy he is.

I bet he would even make the Dali Lama exit the back door where the trash is as to not piss off the Chinese.

@SW, damn you might put me off sex with the whole Mitt and Kama Sutra in the same sentence right there. there are places in my mind I will now have to get brain bleach for, for that visual right there. I'll have to get your real time address and have hubby come talk to you if that happens :)

That being said to SW, Fishcer is all about hate 24/7/365 so this does not shock me. I love in fighting specially on their side, it is making my schaden get all freudey.

Erik: "GOP quit hating gays, minorities, women, and non Christians." But, but then the inbreds won't have anyone to vote for :)

JR: I don't know who could possibly trust a person who bends and dodges and flipflops as much as Mittens.

Mr. C: It shouldn't be an issue, so I hope Romney didn't know or didn't care.

SW: Yup, the GOP is in a bit of a quandary -- how to capture moderate independent voters without alienating the Far Right. Romney will have a lot of these awkward moments between now and the election.

And Fischer does indeed make a valid point. A person like Romney -- completely poll-driven with no moral compass whatsoever -- will be very vulnerable to the kind of financial blackmail you're describing.

Jess: I too am enjoying the infighting among the rightwing factions. Hope they all tear each other to shreds.

Randal: Uh oh, I certainly don't want to get the Prestidigitators riled up.

Jack: Unfortunately there are a lot of hateful phony "Christians" just like Fischer.

Damn, damn, Lisa is at it again. By Lisa's own definition, her wet dream, George W. Bush, is an alcoholic waste who has spent his entire life letting Daddy get him out of jams he gets into because he's a drunken, doped-up waste.

Lisa is an idiot, of course. Lisa probably knows nothing of the requirements for young white men who wanted to get ahead where Byrd came from, in the era he was a youth in. But that doesn't matter anyway; like always, poor, stupid Lisa has posted a link that has damn all to do with the discussion at hand, because Lisa only knows the talking points Rush blows out on that cute clock-radio the hubs gave her for the kitchen.

She needs to stop trying to make the men think she knows something, and get back to all she's good for: cooking, cleaning, and having babies.

Man you are gullible JR. If a KKK democrat says it ,it must be true.
But then again they get away with everything even leaving young women in cars at the bottom of a lake to drown because they "apologized" or had money

Only in liberal land being in the KKK be justified.
I guess Al Gore Senior had to be a member as well for the same reason?

FYI for the rest of the group since Lisa is not going to listen-

The Right loves to pick on the fact that Robert Byrd was once a Klansman, it makes them feel better about all of the Southern Klansman, White Citizen Council Members, and Supremacist/Segregationist they apologetically embraced when they courted them into the Republican Party.

Al Gore Sr. was one of the few Southern Legislators who dared NOT to sign the Southern Manifesto (Others were Estes Kefauver, Sam Rayburn and Lyndon Johnson), and was eventually lost his seat to a hardliner on Civil Rights.

oh yes Lyndon Johnson another one who gets away with saying racist things because he did other things to try and prove he wasn't racist.

Yes Lisa

That "racist" passed the most sweeping Civil Rights bills ever, which drove the Southerners to the Republican Party and they have been trying to dismantle ever since.

Look in your own back yard before you try to accuse somebody of being a racist.

Now Erik, take it easy on that little girl. She's got her womanly duties down correctly, and her rebroadcasts of Hannity are just to show her MAN that her head is right, after all. What a good little filly she is!
