“Sandra Fluke is Owed an Apology — and so is Sarah Palin”

That’s the title of this column.

Really? Seriously?

(This column was written before Rush Limbaugh’s “apology.”)

The author apparently thinks Sandra Fluke and Sarah Palin are both in the same category, since they’ve both been called vile names.

Why yes, of course they’re in the same category. After all, they’re both career politicians who will say and do ANYTHING to destroy their political opponents. They’ve both earned millions of dollars on their all-expenses-paid speaking tours. And they both have a long history of making extremely obnoxious mean-spirited comments, for the sole purpose of generating as much public fury as possible.

[sigh]

In other news: George Will lashed out at the GOP’s tepid response to Rush Limbaugh. John Boehner had called Limbaugh’s comments “inappropriate,” to which George Will replied:

“Using a salad fork for your entree, that’s inappropriate.”

He also zinged the GOP presidential candidates with:

“They want to bomb Iran, but they’re afraid of Rush Limbaugh.”

George Will, ever the aristocrat, is allowed to criticize Limbaugh...only because he's not running for, or holding, office.

Despite the Fact that all Conservatives owe Will as he sat in on the Carter debate strategy sessions as a journalist then told the Reagan camp, thereby Reagan knew everything Carter was going to say before he said it, Will is now a RINO for not going far right enough for the great Limbaugh

The comparison of the two women is typical Republican deflection and deviation from the issue. As you very nicely summed up, there is no legitimate or valid comparison.

The Republican establishment, for what it's worth, is afraid of Rush Limbaugh. That's a certainty. He heads their ministry of propaganda and falsehoods, so no potential or serving electable official would dare cross or defy him. It could mark the end of their political aspirations.

The title of that article should be "Sandra Fluke is Owed a Sincere Apology". Anyone with more than a fifth grade education knows Limbaugh was just trying to stave off losing any more advertisers.

Might have to start listening to his swill so I won't miss the inevitable on-air stroke/heart attack that is surely merely a matter of time now.

I wonder if he quaffs those Viagra while he rants three hours a day, five days a week.

Good times!

Not a George Will fan.... but I WILL HAND IT TO HIM.... he said something, unconditionally about Rush and the inappropriateness of those comments. Whereas... leadership potential folks(?) like Romney and Santorum and Gingrich said.... What?

The comparison between Ms. Fluke and Palin is asinine and Mark Whittington is an asinine ass. As someone in the comments section of his article pointed out, he probably has posters of Sarah Palin in his room, he is so enamored of her.

Dave: True. And Rush's Dildoheads probably don't read George Will anyway. They probably don't read period for that matter.

Erik: I never knew that about George Will. But Reagan's worshipers probably aren't grateful to Will; they probably figure that St. Ronnie would have been elected anyway, since it was God's Will.

JR: She's the world champion at screaming out venomous comments and then playing Victim when people respond to her.

JG: You're right, Limbaugh has a tight scrotal grip on any and all GOP office seekers. And at the same time he's "just an entertainer."

J: Fifth grade is still a distant goal for most of Rush's fans.

Anonymous: You're right, it's almost worth listening to his radio swill just to wait for the heart attack. The key word is Almost.

okjimm: I don't usually agree with George Will either. But he usually says exactly what he thinks without worrying who gets offended, so I admire that about him.

jadedj: And after he got through "enjoying" his Sarah Palin poster, it stuck to the wall all by itself, without any tape or thumb tacks or anything.
