You mean he didn't cancel the meet with wounded soldiers because there were no cameras around?

Ricardo: Yup, that’s pretty shocking. And maybe he isn’t a Moslem who’s planning to smuggle thousands of Kenyan terrorists into America if he gets elected. Would McCain lie?

J, AHB: Yup, great cartoon. It was in today’s local paper.

I hope someone mentions to McCain (maybe Obama will in the debates) that for all of his accusations of his opponent being out of touch with the American people. That this is the first time in his 25+ years in the Senate and two presidential candidacies that he has spoken at the NAACP convention, and visited any black neighborhoods. It took him 25 years years to admit he was wrong in voting against the Martin Luther King Holiday (ignoring cries of "how come it took you so long?", "you just realized it now?" and "what are you going to do now?")

This man says he's in touch?

Of Course Pat Bunchanon had typical Republican Advice for McCain in a recent column:

"Forget the Blacks and Hispanics - they never vote Republican!"

Erik: McCain does so much flipflopping, he has zero credibility left. Visiting black neighborhoods and attending the NAACP convention -- LOL. I don't know how anyone, except his fellow warmongering rednecks, could possibly take him seriously.

Yes, someone has hijacked the Straight Talk Express and turned it into a certain wreck.

McCain HAS flip-flopped so much he has nearly zero credibility left, but that is only among those of us who are paying attention... because our "news media" sure isn't going to say much about it. If the media did its job, I don't see how McCain could get more than 40% of the vote in the election. As it is, it will probably be a nail-biter... because the media leads us to believe McCain is a lovable old war hero guy, and McCain has been the one framing all the debate so far.

Speaking of debates, I can't wait to see how those go. Obama must be careful, but I think he has the potential to make mincemeat of McCain. Let's hope that's how it goes.

McCain is trying to bury Obama right now with the daily withering attacks (and the cartoon illustrates the integrity of those to a tee), but if Obama can stand firm for the next few weeks and then crush McCain in a couple of debates, it might end up not being much of a contest. McCain is sort of shooting his wad right now, it seems. It might not be long before he runs out of stuff to attack Obama on on a daily basis, and then he will start to sound like a broken record (he does already, but again, our "news media" is not doing much of a job, eh.)

Snave: Obama would squish McCain in a debate, for whatever that's worth. Unfortunately, the Swiftboaters might be having more of an influence. And also our oblivious "media" who would rather talk about the missing hiker of the week than anything substantial.

Obama walks all over McCain in a debate, McCain's campaign spews out another sleazy soundbite -- which one will grab the public? I guess we'll see.

Shea: That's true, Wal-Mart puts a lot of their competition out of business when they move to a small town.

I'm for Obama. I don't know how much difference he'll make but better him than McSame.
