Chickenhawks Drooling Over War With Iran

Here is another sheltered keyboard potato who's willing to fight Iran to the last drop of somebody else’s blood. Where do these pitiful douchebags keep coming from and why do they keep multiplying?

Joshua Muravchik is a member of the American Enterprise Institute and has been affiliated with the Project For a New American Century (PNAC). He has also “been associated with a string of hawkish pressure groups supporting George W. Bush’s interventionist policies in the Middle East” according to this article.

In other words, here is somebody who's led a gritty hardscrabble life and would have a deep empathy with the hardships suffered by our soldiers and veterans. And you can tell he's very sensitive to the grief and despair suffered by the Iranian victims of our bombing. Asshole.

He says “I’m just a pathetic sissy but I love to watch men fight. Oooooh, it’s such a turn-on Our choice is stark. Accept Iran with an atom bomb or cripple its nuclear program by force.”

He also boasts that airstrikes against Iran “would not require a ‘declaration of war,’ an antiquated concept that has not been employed since World War II.” Ah yes, another one of those antiquated concepts, along with the Constitution and the Geneva Convention.

Contact your recruiter, Dickhead.

Oh yeah, the PNAC crowd is marching ever onward to "Armageddon," dragging us all down with them to the ultimate doomsday scenario. It's not if, but when: will they make their preemptive strike before the '08 elections, or will we be under martial law, making elections moot? If the former, it won't much matter who is elected, will it? It'll still be WWIII. If we're in martial law and there are no elections, the PNAC crowd will still be in power, just to, you know, see it through. Asswipes. (Why yes, I AM a pessimist, thank you.)

The guy definitely needs to go right on down to the local recruiter and get himself signed up, and right away. People who agree with him all need to do the same, right now. I guess people who sit at their computers and advocate bombing other countries must be too afraid to go help invade and subdue those countries, eh.

The only way to get Muravchik and others to take really a hard look at what they are saying and writing, is to put them in Iraq, Afghanistan or Iran. Put them their along side our brave troops with a M16 in their hands and allow them to practice what they are writing about and teaching.

I am so sick of the guys from (PNAC) or (AEI) and seems to be with both, so send his butt on the front and if he lives, then we shall see what he has to say and if he would still be affiliated with such "Think Tank" organizations.

Candace: That's a nice Hobson's Choice, huh? Invade Iran right before the '08 election, or declare martial law and cancel all future elections. I think I'll have to sleep on it before I can decide which of those 2 scenarios sounds like the most fun.

Snave: Yup, off to the nearest boot camp for that asshole and his fellow chickenhawks. They need to step away from their sheltered lives and see what it's like in the real world.

Let's Talk: That's exactly right. When people are secluded in their ivory towers, it's too easy to think of war as just another video game. Maybe people shouldn't be allowed to join one of those think tanks unless they've either served in the military, or done some sort of community service, in the U.S. or a foreign country. Then they'd see what the real world is like beyond the campuses of these sheltered "think tanks."

This idiot is another reason there will never be a draft.

Who would be left here to defend the jubilee of death caused by Bush.

Good thing we don't have any experience living for over 40 years with thousands of ICBMs pointed at us or we might do something hysterical like decide to bomb a country that doesn't even have a single nuclear bomb.

People like this are so scary to me, and so wrong-headed.

I was listening to the radio this morning and they were interviewing someone who had just written a book and his point was that it was ridiculous to think we should attack Iran, because the same regime had been in power for 30 years and had never attacked us, and why do we think all of a sudden they are a threat to us? He said that we have no business going into other countries unprovoked and starting wars with them. You know who it was? PATRICK BUCHANAN. I almost died. Here I was sitting nodding my head and agreeing with - Pat Buchanan.

At any rate, he's right. This Iran thing is the scariest thing happening right now and no one is paying attention in the MSM. I am really worried that Candace is right and that the plot is to make things so bad by the next election that they will use it as an excuse not to turn over the government in 2009.

Oh, and by the way - I haven't seen a lot about this during Rudy Guiliani's run for President, but does anyone remember the fact that he tried to NOT GIVE UP HIS OFFICE at the end of his second term because of 9/11? This isn't an unprecedented thing. Luckily New York didn't buy it. But who knows what this Congress would let happen?

Larry: It's ironic. The same people who keep clamoring for war are the same ones who would scream the loudest if the draft came back.

Randal: I personally don't blame Iran for wanting nukes. They've been under America's thumb, off and on, for over 50 years and they're surrounded by hostile neighbors. I think the more countries that have nuclear weapons, the more deterrent there'll be because of Mutually Assured Destruction; but that's just me.

Mauigirl: You know things have gotten crazy when Pat Buchanan starts making sense. I don't like his racism or his religious fanaticism, but he's always been a maverick outside of that. I think he has a lot of empathy with working people, and lately he's been against our foreign invasions. It's nice to find agreement wherever we can find it.

I wasn't aware of Giuliani trying to stay in the Mayor's office after his second term. I wouldn't doubt it though. He's at least as iron-handed and powercrazed as Bush, if not more so. He'd be the worst person to get into the White House.

Can I move to Canada?

But Canada would be too cold. Where is it warm where there aren't wacked out warmongers? Fiji? It's warm in Fiji. But are there warmongers in Fiji?

And you are correct about the ones running from a draft are the ones willing to send other people TO DIE. Freaks.

Anna: I don't know much about Fiji. I'd rather just stay here and work for a better government. I think the rednecks and neocons should leave, except, what country would take them?

Oh, hell no, Tom, I don't blame them either. If I was them, I'D want more than one. In a perfect world, I'd like there to be no nukes, but the genie is long out of the bottle and will never be put back in because that would mean humanity decided blowing the fuck out of each other isn't as exciting as it used to be.

And we'll never get tired of that rerun.
