Another Rightwing Neanderthal Website
We all know the cliché about grisly car accidents that are horrifying and gut-wrenching and yet you can't bring yourself to look away. That same human idiosyncrasy rears its head in other ways too. There are some twisted Neocon websites out there that are so repulsive, so sick, that you just have to keep on looking. You can't help it — you're gonna click on the next menu, the next link, whether you want to or not. You’ve just got to see what these blithering nutcases are gonna say next.
Take this website (please!). To paraphrase an old potato chip commercial, “betcha can't look away.”
Who ARE these sickfucks?!? Wanna sign an online petition to “stay the course?” This is the place. Don’t let those Surrender Monkeys cut and run.

Ugh. I can't really say "thanks for the link" on that one... my propaganda alert started beeping, and I only lasted about 30 seconds there. My usual sense of morbid curiousity didn't even kick in. I have to hope that site is not a popular one, but it has all the trappings of something that has been very professionally put together. I would imagine it has a pretty good-sized readership.
How people can be sucked in by that kind of stuff is something I can't figure out. They would probably agree with the sentiments "Terror must be broken by terror" and "All opposition must be stamped into the ground". Those seem like Republican philisophies nowadays. Too bad those are a couple of maxims of the SA, better known as the Nazi "brownshirts", active in Nazi propaganda in the 1920s and 1930s.
Sites like that one seem to me little more than a recruitment site and an affirmation site for modern-day American brownshirts of the rightwing variety.
Come on now Tom, you have an issue with Townhall, but not DU? KOS? Some of the most popular libtard site make Townhall look like daycare.
I know many Dems follow the same talking points as well, but that link to the letter writing was pretty amusing.
These are just more of the sick puppies that are still under the spell of the biggest Tyrant I've ever seen! They're so Ignorant they don't know what to do or think unless someone tells them! Screw them!!!!!!
Snave: That’s true, that site does look very professionally done. I don’t know if that means they have a lot of readers; it might just be some nerd sitting in his basement and he splurged on a web designer and has a lot of links.
As support for Iraqmire keeps fading and Bush’s polls keep falling, it’s reassuring that these people make up a smaller and smaller percentage of the population. Even if there are millions of them, their proportion is shrinking.
Jenn: I don’t pay much attention to the “big” blogs, left or right, so I wouldn’t know.
Political Realm: True, both sides have their talking points. But there was something about that site that really turned me off. I think it’s that unison “Rah! Rah! Rah!” vibe that I get from Fox News (which I hardly ever watch).

I know what you mean about not being able to look away. I sometimes wonder if I'm looking at satire because it's hard to believe real people think that that. But then, there's ample evidence that they do.
Speaking of the administration, I've been embarrassed for the whole country today thinking about Dubya at a white-tie dinner with the Queen of England, chewing with his mouth open like he usually does. I hope he didn't try to give her shoulder rub. Damned idiot.
Well now I've worse.
I must admit I was impressed with the guy who wrote the hate bash article on the Queen of England and the Numerous rebuttals he got. Either not all of the readers are cookie cutter conservatives or they have a liberal virus.
Actually people did what I think all people should do regardless of their ideology, Fight with Facts!
Another Interesting one was George Will and his article on Hank Aaron. A Feel Good, Rag to Riches type conservative story that would make any right wing reader (George Will is a conservative and a Baseball Freak/Historian which means he sees more blacks and Latinos then most conservatives)wish for the "Good Old Days". Quickly Glossing over the Controversy over breaking Ruth's record. Not mentioning The Segregation he grew up with, and the Racism that made it possible for the Negro leagues to be started up and the Major Leagues to exist on a lie (That they had the best talent)and sustain despite the proof otherwise.

I checked out a couple links, but I couldn't stay there for more than a few minutes. The THREE advertisements for Tom Delay's book was very distracting.
Candace: Yeah, that site had me wondering if they were serious or not. Unfortunately they are. Dumbya giving a backrub to the Queen -- I wouldn't put it past him.
Erik: You must have read the site more thoroughly than I did. I didn't see anything by George Will. He's conservative and all that, but they're so far to the right they make George Will look like a leftist.
I did see some negative comments at some of the posts I read, so at least they don't censor people who disagree.
I will say it's a well put together site, it reminds me of Time and The Christian Science Monitor rolled into one but with a very conservative view.

Though I was amused by the "Hillary's War" article. Not that I like Hillary, but the idea of pinning the war on any dem at this point is beyond absurd.
I looked but not for long. The letter writing page is as funny as it is tragic. What does it say about the educational level of the readers who flock to this site or of education in America? It looks as if the the average conservative needs to copy someone else's work. This calls for time out in the corner! I wonder how many Clem Clone letters have been sent? Can they spell their own names?
Geez I guess we'd better give up on conservatives being able to think for themselves, tee hee.

Kitchen Window Woman: Yup, that letter-writing site is funny and sad. I suspect there was method in the Republicans' madness when they started cutting funds for education back in the 1980s. Now they have a whole generation of dumbasses who are easy to manipulate. And if they can't write, no problemo -- a little cutting and pasting and they've got themselves a letter to the editor.
I seem to see pieces of this screwed up arguments in other parts of the Right, but this is all together in its total revulsionness.
Revulsionness is not a word but if these wingnuts can say the Democrats are this radical left-wing threat to 'American society' then revulsionness doesn't look so looney anyway.
Bet some of the right-wing bloggers have copied-and-pasted from this abomination.
Benjamin: That's a good description; it's like every individual strand of rightwing zaniness is presented all together on one website. And you're right, that site probably is one of their favorite sources for those cut-and-paste talking points that they keep relying on.
