Chickenhawk of the Week: Sen. Wayne Allard

Senator Wayne Allard (R-Colorado) has accused Russ Feingold of committing treason. According to Allard's “reasoning,” Feingold was “siding with terrorists” when he introduced his resolution to censure Bush.

Here is a petition demanding that Allard apologize. There’s a separate box for your own message. Please include a few choice words for our Wingnut of the Day.

Has this gung ho “patriot” ever served in the military himself? Come on, you know the answer to that.

Hat Tip to AGITPROP for posting about this.

my e-mail to allard:

Senator Allard,

You owe Senator Russ Feingold an apology. Your comments regarding his censure resolution were outrageous and un-American.

I am extremely disappointed and discouraged by your utter disregard for the Constitution, which you swore to uphold. Senator Feingold clearly has the interests of the American people at heart; just as clearly, you would give this president license to break any law he sees fit.

America is a country based on the rule of law, Senator, a fact you seem to have forgotten.

Get your priorities back in order, please.

Spaceneedl: Excellent message. I hope he gets lots of responses like that. Even if he doesn't recant what he said, he'll know that a lot of people are pissed at him.

I hope Cantwell and Murray will get behind Feingold's resolution. I can't believe how many spineless Democrats are shying away from this. With Bush's poll numbers at 33%, this is the time to take a stand.

I really don't care one way or the other if Allard apologizes or not. However, I DO think he needs to take some action. Since he's obviously a super patriot, I think he needs to grab his gun and head over to Afghanistan & Iraq to single-handedly go after them darn terrorists.

If he refuses, then I think his refusal will be treasonous and then we'll all know that Allard himself is "siding with terrorists".

Hey, Tom.

BlogMad is INFINITELY better than BE. I've been on it for about 3 days, and I'm already at like 1400 credits and my daily hits are up over 200%. Their server is insanely fast, just good quality stuff.

I was actually the top-rated blog yesterday on VARB, and today, my rating dropped something like 4 points. The wingnuts are attacking, so we should attack back! Oddly enough, I haven't come across that many right-leaning blogs. But everyone I do, thumbs down.

Rambling Taoist: I doubt if Allard will apologize; I just hope he gets a lot of these messages, with very colorful wording. I sure can't picture him putting on a uniform. He's another one of these people who's ready to fight to the last drop of someone else's blood.

Brad: Oh yeah, BlogMad rocks, that's for sure. I haven't voted thumbs down on any blog yet, but I'll definitely start doing that with any rightwing blog over there. Two can play that game.

Just remember, "If you aint wid us...then yer again' us"

Do want the Nooklear bombs raining down on your heads?

It is patriotic to spy on your neighbor...you want to keep tabs on 'em... dem terrorists is plum near everyhwere - except, of course, our friends in the UAE...they are beyond reproach. If you don't like them - then you are just being mean and who wants mean people in their country?

Oh, WTF. I started this comment as a parody...and it is just getting too sad to continue.

I am just sad for our country right now.

Senator Allard is an imbecile. THis rhetoric is good for Democrats though because they can use it, quote it to show how crazy and desperate the right-wing has become. Great blog!
I'm hereby supporting Sen. Feingold for president, myself, since his speech on Monday.

Out Loud and Proud: Thanks for stopping by. I'll check out your post.

Shelly: Yeah, Allard sure provided some ammunition for the Democrats. If only they'll quit dithering and actually use it.

Kunstemaecker: Imbush Peach, I like it.

Tom,

I think this blog is committing treason and therefore supports the terrorists.

Terrorism is everywhere. Do you remember before 9/11 all the terrorist attacks (our government ex. Waco, Operation Northwoods) I mean the terrorist committed. We won't have to worry about terrorism from foreigners because our government is always looking out for new ways to harm us, just like those terrorists.

David R. Mark: Yup, you've got it. Today's uber-loyal Republicans are the Good Germans of 60 years ago.

Jake: Yes, you're right. I hate America and I'm trying to undermine freedom. I'm off to Gitmo for some political re-education.
